Opticorp Inc.
occupies a modern facility covering approximately 6700 square feet. Our
manufacturing equipment includes modern optical coating equipment, including
electron-beam and ion beam deposition equipment. We routinely use thermal,
electron-beam, reactive electron-beam, and ion-assisted electron-beam
deposition techniques. We also have UV/VIS/NIR and thermal IR spectrophotometers
for coating characterization and filter measurement and humidity test
facilities. In addition we have on-site computing facilities for optical
thin film design and analysis.
The following is
a partial equipment list:
- We recently added a new 48 inch box coater with a 19 inch planetary
capacity. This chamber utilizes ion-assisted electron beam deposition
that produces environmentally stable optical coatings such as durable
silver and hard dielectric coatings.
- Balzers BAK760 box coater equipped with dual electron beam guns, dual
resistive evaporation, glow discharge, substrate heaters, ion gun, optical
and crystal monitors, and planetary rotation system.
- Balzers BAK710 box coater equipped with four pocket electron beam
gun, dual resistive evaporation, glow discharge, substrate heaters,
optical and crystal monitors, and planetary rotation system.
- Davis and Wilder coater equipped with dual resistive evaporation,
glow discharge, substrate heaters, crystal monitors, and substrate rotation
system.
- Two Cary 14 spectrophotometers for measuring reflectance and transmission
from 185nm to 2500nm (2.5 microns).
- Perkin Elmer 457 IR grating spectrophotometer for measuring reflectance
and transmission from 2.5-40 microns.
- Numerous flow booths equipped with HEPA filters and antistatic grids.
